We got a call from the hospital around 7:30 that they had a room they were getting ready and to come in anytime. He got Rituximab on Day 0, then days 1-5 he gets Etoposide, Ifosfamide, Mesna, and Cytarabine (which I know does not match up to the letters in R-IVAC, but I\u2019ll have to ask the Dr tomorrow what\u2019s up with their abbreviation \ud83e\uddd0.  With an intrathecal Methotrexate thrown in on Day 4.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far, his only side effect has been hot flashes and cold flashes.  Which is funny because one of the more common side effects listed for one of the meds is \u201cearly onset of menopause\u201d.  So I told him maybe he is just having \u201cmanopause\u201d and getting a taste of what I\u2019ll go through later in life.  \ud83d\ude1c. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/joyandclay.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_8612.jpg?w=768\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-132\" \/><figcaption>Cancer Fighting Time!!!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you to everyone for all the prayers, food, support, gift cards, etc, etc.  We are so very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends in our lives.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/joyandclay.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_8608.jpg?w=768\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-133\" \/><figcaption>I even got some work done today!!!  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day 1 of chemo went really well!!!
