As I write this, Clay is beside me in the hotel room – he was able to be discharged late this evening! So we will be headed home for about 2 weeks tomorrow. Such an answer to prayers!!! And we get to spend Valentine’s Day together watching traditional Valentine’s movies like The Fifth Element while eating take-out Mexican food. Nothing says love like fajitas and Bruce Willis.

He is not feeling 100% (as expected) but is very happy to be out of the hospital. The administration of the rest of the Chemo meds for days 4 and 5 went smoothly, but he’s still having some hot flashes and feeling a little “blah”.

Once he gets the Neulasta shot on Tuesday, his WBC count should start trending upward, which means that he will start slowly feeling better. His hair is growing back – he hopes he will keep it and not have the little stubble fall out too – but other than that nothing new for side effects.

The girls finished up their dance competition today and did really fantastic! The venue this time in Jacksonville is the Convention Center – and it is an old train station. It is a very neat old building.

Thank you to everyone for the continued prayers!
