Jackson County agrees with Clay – he is doing great! I put Dr. Brunner in touch with Dr. Hammond this morning and the great medical minds together decided that (1) Clay is alive by the grace of God, medical intervention, and because he has a pushy wife and (2) he needs to stay inpatient overnight again tonight to get more IV antibiotics and platelets. (I may be paraphrasing the outcome of the call but hey- it’s my post).
Plus “Joyce” showed up to visit him this morning – so he’s obviously feeling much better!

Clay is eating delicious snacks that some friends surprised him with, while laying under the prayer blanket sweet Gwen made for him – so life is good.
eating Cheddar Straws 😜
He also loves the food at the Marianna Hospital – he asked for extra tea and got two huge cups of delicious sweet tea (sweet like my Grandma Marler and Aunt Marie made in South Carolina). Let’s just say the little canned “teas” they give him at Baptist Hospital don’t hold a candle to the homemade sweet tea in Marianna. But it’s also a good thing they don’t need to check his blood sugar anymore 😬

The Drs say he gets to come home in the morning if he is still fever free and his numbers go up (platelets & WBC). So please pray for no fever and good numbers!!!

This is great news. I want to know if Clay is the good patient or the bad patient to the nurses! Lol
Thank you for the update! Keeping you in my prayers.
Awesome! Looking like you are on a photo shoot for GQ.

Hey Joy and Clay! We just heard about what’s going on from Missy Taylor. You all will be in our prayers big time. Much love from both of us 💓
