Our sweet friend Jill Smith has been fundraising for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society since her mom passed away from Lymphoma in 2003. Clay and I have always admired and supported her in her fundraising efforts for the organization, but have not seen LLS in action until Clay’s diagnosis. Not only do they offer so many services, publications, support groups, etc to patients, but more importantly, the research this organization funds is the reason Lymphoma is now a curable cancer for many who are diagnosed!
Please consider donating to this amazing organization! I’m putting Jill’s link to her fundraising page below. She dedicated her efforts this year not only to the memory of her mother, but to Clay! (And Jill – Marianne and I were noticing how dark Santa Mike and Clay’s hair is in the pictures on your fundraising page!!!)
Jill’s Team in Training Page LLS
As an update on Clay – things are going really well since the visit to the Marianna Hospital! His levels are all up and most are very close to normal and he will be in good shape going into the third cycle. We go back to Jacksonville on Sunday, March 7 for Clay to have the first two days of Cycle 3. Home on Wednesday, March 10, then back to Jacksonville Sunday, March 21 for Clay to have a 5 day hospital stay for part 2 of Cycle 3.
We have enjoyed spending some family time together – Clay even felt like going to Sunday School this past Sunday and fishing, shooting and go cart riding at the pony farm!
